Iona is giving the joy of sport to kids in rural Nepal. A former athlete turned environmental advisor helping farmers keep rivers clean, Iona has seen first hand the power of movement, progress and play. After visiting a rural school in Nepal, where sports lessons were improvised with little more than a rope, she was struck by the lack of access to even the most basic equipment. She is using the $500 to send a full set of sportshall athletics gear - from foam javelins and hurdles to speed bounce and bean bags - giving these kids a fun, structured way to play, improve and build self-belief. With the remaining funds covering delivery, Iona is creating a simple but powerful opportunity for joy, confidence and childhood through sport.
