Jean is giving connection through handwritten words. A designer working in community mental health, Jean spends her time making complex, often heavy topics feel more accessible - helping people feel less alone in their struggles. She’s now bringing that same intention into a simple, human act of connection. Hosting sessions at a community centre, Jean will invite people to sit together and handwrite postcards and letters to loved ones living in other countries. With $500 spent on postage and writing materials, her idea revives the joy of receiving something tangible, thoughtful and personal - creating moments of connection, reflection and care that travel far beyond the room they’re written in.
