The Plastic Coast
Sammie is transforming beach plastic into captivating art along the Brighton coastline, UK. By day, Sammie works as a dedicated nurse, but her passion for art and the environment takes her to the beaches, where she repurposes waste into creative expressions. With the $500, Sammie will expand her mission to some of the UK's most remote beaches, removing plastic pollution and reincorporating it into her artwork. The funds will help organize an extreme beach cleaning crew, amplifying their collective impact and reminding the public of the ongoing problems our litter poses to nature, even in the most secluded spots. Sammie's vision is to create not just a visual story, but an inspired call to action for cleaner and more sustainable coastlines.
