As a visual storyteller, Andrea captures the overlooked narratives and understands the power of stories left untold. In October, Andrea will teach photography to ten people over weekends, covering basics like lighting, framing, and the art of capturing a moment with a stranger. With $500, they will empower these novice photographers, none of whom owns a camera nor has been taught before, to traverse the Arusha region, exploring its vibrant life and narratives. In December, they'll print 100 carefully selected photographs and deliver them as heartfelt Christmas gifts. Each photo will be accompanied by a note of gratitude, personally delivered to unsung community heroes nominated by their peers for making a difference without being acknowledged. It's a cycle of appreciation designed to influence change — one thankful photograph at a time.
