As an apprentice coach at Birmingham University, Thomas understands the power of collaboration and empowering others to achieve their goals. This year, he's participating in an initiative where community meets compassion. While running a 60km fundraising race with Rise Ultra, Thomas and 16 others will visit Oulad Mtaa, a village affected by the 2023 earthquake. With the $500, Thomas will purchase paint and local materials needed to finish renovating the village's shared room, the hub for community gatherings and children's classes. On the day before the race, they'll join villagers to paint it in colors chosen by the community itself. A coat of paint may seem simple, but it's a legacy of togetherness and support—a room completed by its people for its people.
