Kell is helping people reconnect with nature while restoring it at the same time. A self-taught restorative ecologist and proud land worker, Kell is using $500 to open up their world to others - offering free foraging walks to those who wouldn’t usually have access, and inviting them into the wonder and health of wild food. Alongside this, they are growing mushrooms for both community food boxes and a playful “mycelium disco”, where spent growing blocks are returned to the earth to nourish soil in a former landfill site. With plans to extend into sustainable food systems for a local school, Kell’s idea blends learning, livelihood and land care into something regenerative and shared.
