Abdi is giving connection and care to orphans living with HIV in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. As an advocate for HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights among youths, Abdi wants to create a moment where these children feel seen and valued, rather than their usual routine. With the $500, Abdi will organize a "You Are Not Alone Day," inviting Red Ribbon Initiative volunteers to join him. They’ll kick things off with games and light activities, followed by a story-sharing circle to encourage openness. A creative session will then allow each child to write or draw their future dreams. Each child will receive a "Care Pack" containing a notebook with a heartfelt message, pens, basic hygiene items, and a small personal item like a bracelet to remind them they matter. A volunteer will stay in touch with the care center to maintain these bonds, making every child feel they’re truly not alone.
