Ikupilika is creating a Mental Health First Aid Toolkit and Storytelling Project for university students in Moshi Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. As a medical student, she isn't content with the formalities; instead, she connects through heart, striving to understand silent struggles. She knows firsthand the psychological distress that slips under the radar and has been sowing seeds of support through peer counselling and school visits. With the $500, Ikupilika will craft a candid video and audio documentary featuring raw, anonymous insights from students navigating stress and suicidal thoughts. Alongside, she'll develop printed toolkits to offer immediate emotional first aid, guiding students to recognize mental struggles and seek help effectively. This project isn't just practical – it's personal. Ikupilika is igniting a chain of understanding and quiet aid, turning silence into shared strength, using what matters most: small, authentic actions.
