Cynthia is helping 20 farmers in her village reclaim food sovereignty. A farmer, social entrepreneur, techie and nature obsessive, Cynthia has seen first hand how hunger and malnutrition have grown as indigenous seeds disappeared from local farms. Now that a ban on their use has been lifted, she is spending $500 on indigenous seeds, organic manure and watering cans for 20 farmers - helping them begin seed propagation, grow healthier food, and bring back the kind of farming that once kept children fed and farmers happy.
