As a second-year medical student passionate about community empowerment, Sami uses his leadership role in the youth-led initiative, DIFFERENT FOCUS (DIFFO), to champion education through books in school libraries. With $500, Sami plans to create "Glow Gardens" in 15-20 households, providing starter kits with fast-growing vegetable seeds like spinach and tomatoes, as well as recycled planting solutions. Children aged 7 and up will become "Garden Champions," tending to their crops weekly and learning about nutrition firsthand. They'll track their progress with a "Glow Tracker," linking their health improvements to their gardening efforts. This educational journey culminates in a "Glow Day Festival" where children share their growth stories. This initiative empowers kids to become advocates for local nutrition, transforming passive consumption into active cultivation and nurturing a culture of health.
