As an electronics technical expert and environmental activist, Mohamed is deeply committed to sustainable e-waste management and youth empowerment in his community. Inspired by fellow environmentalists and leveraging his technical skills, he's reviving his elder’s solar training program and showcasing the talents of the students he tutors. With the $500, Mohamed will coordinate the "Repair, Recycle, Regenerate" pavilion at a local school's "Back to School" fair. The pavilion will feature phone repair stations, a recycling swap managed by student mentees, tech support from trained e-waste technicians, and more. His elder, Madam Nancy Bundu Kanu, will also present on the solar program with a chance for visitors to win a solar-powered product. Mohamed hopes this event will highlight that repairing electronics and managing e-waste are acts of kindness to our planet and community.
