A dynamic creative with an evolving voice, she found herself unexpectedly writing an autobiographical play for her MA studies. The process revealed how intensely bullying had impacted her life - and she knows she's not alone. With $500, Suzanne will host “The Words We Needed,” a warm, accessible space with a simple question: “What did you need an adult to notice, say or do?” Guests can share their answers however they choose, without judgement. Their responses will be transformed into handwritten cards bearing messages of belief, safety, and understanding. Funds will cover the venue, refreshments, and materials, ensuring inclusivity for all participants. Suzanne’s goal is to replace loneliness with shared empathy, sending each person home with the words they should've heard as children. It begins with one empty chair and strangers, and ends with connection and shared truth.
