Having grown up amid instability and resorted to the streets for survival, Joseph understands the dire impact of violence and the power of second chances. Thanks to the compassion of a church member, he shifted from a life defined by addiction and crime to one of education and purpose. With $500, Joseph will gather community leaders, educators, and once-marginalized individuals—drug users, former gang members, and street children—to demonstrate that peace is co-created rather than imposed. Set within the very spaces that have witnessed conflict, this event seeks to redefine Bobokombo as a community of healing.
