Growing up in a poverty-stricken village without essential services, John became a community activist using his sociologist training to fight for access to basic needs in rural areas. A painful personal experience with his son's illness exposed him to the invisible struggles of hospital caregivers, who often go hungry while tending to their sick children. With $500, John and his wife will prepare and deliver lunch packs that include rice, stew, snacks, bottled water, and handwritten love cards to about 50–75 families at the hospital. This initiative isn't just about providing food; it's about showing compassion and letting families know they're not alone in their toughest times, one meal and note at a time.
