As a 73-year-old retired computer systems engineer and lifelong learner, Mike finds joy in both giving back and exploring new avenues of growth. He tinkers with bikes, maintains national park trails, and dives into Global Health studies at the University of South Carolina. With the $500, Mike will produce about 1,000 weather-resistant vinyl stickers that encourage people to pause and reconnect with someone they miss. These psychedelic, colorful stickers will be placed in waiting spots like bus stops and public benches, prompting people to either call or write a message to someone meaningful via a Google Form. It's a small gesture with the power to rekindle relationships and spread warmth across the nation.
